Patient's mobility is restricted
Symptoms:
* Reduced mobility
* Reduced ability to walk
* Reduced social contacts

Interventions
- fear of pain, falling, bumping
|
- see interventions in: The patient has lack of knowledge on how to prevent skin damage
|
- blistering on the feet due to walking (especially in warm weather)
|
- recommend walking barefoot as much as possible
- recommend soaking feet regularly in cold water
- recommend keeping feet as cool as possible
|
|
|
- recommend wearing shoes that fit properly
- change socks and shoes regularly
- chill socks and shoes by storing, prior to wear, in the refrigerator or freezer
- wear thick cotton socks, possibly two pairs at once
- prevent perspiration, possibly use antiperspirant
- use inner soles
- use bandage shoes
- burst blisters as soon as possible

- webbing or acquired syndactyly of the toes
- visual complaints (poor eyesight or blindness)
- fatigue or bad condition (as a result of poor nutritional status or anaemia)
- The living / working / school environment restricts patient's mobility (for example, no
lift, narrow staircase, crowded corridors, long distances,
etcetera)

- consult with physiotherapist to engage in exercises
- recommend the use of aids / adaptations such as:stroller
- see interventions in: The patient is completely or partially restricted in the ADL
- see interventions in: The patient has difficulties with obtaining or maintaining a good
nutritional status
- adjustment of environment, working hours, furniture alterations, use of facilities,
etcetera
