Exercises Knees

It is sometimes no longer possible to stretch the knees, especially if they have been in a bent position for a long time. The same applies here: an abdominal position is a good remedy. Other exercises include:

• Lie down on the back: flex the muscles of the upper leg and simultaneously move the toes in the direction of the face. Remain in this position for about 5 seconds.

• Lie down on the back: fully stretch the right knee and move the right leg stretched out upwards. Repeat the exercise with the left leg. Do not carry out this exercise with both legs at once because this may result in back injury.

• Sit down on a chair (preferably with a back): move the right lower leg forward until the whole right leg is stretched. Remain in this position for about 5 seconds. Repeat the exercise with the left leg.

When it is no longer possible to bend the knees properly the following exercises should be carried out:

• Lie down on the back: bend the right leg as much as possible and move heel towards bottom and then stretch the right leg again. Repeat the exercise with the left leg. When it is not possible to lie down on the back this exercise may also be carried out by lying on one's side.
